Editorial Policy

What we publish

We publish educational guides about data entry work: what the role involves, the skills and software it uses, how to prepare a resume, how to search for remote roles, and how to avoid fraudulent job offers. We also publish free browser tools that calculate typing speed, accuracy, and income estimates from numbers you provide.

We do not publish job listings on behalf of third parties, and we do not publish paid guest posts, sponsored reviews, or link placements.

How articles are researched

• Factual claims about occupations, duties, and wage data are checked against primary sources — chiefly the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and O*NET.
• Software instructions are checked against the vendor's own documentation, such as Microsoft and Google support pages, rather than second-hand tutorials.
• Guidance on scams and consumer protection follows published government guidance, primarily from the Federal Trade Commission.
• Where a figure varies by market, employer, or industry, we explain how to look it up rather than presenting a single number as universal.

What we will not do

• Invent statistics, studies, salary figures, employers, testimonials, or credentials.
• Promise income, placement, interviews, or employment outcomes.
• Use urgency tactics, countdowns, or manufactured scarcity to push readers toward a link.
• Present advertising or affiliate content as editorial judgement. See our advertising disclosure.

Review and updates

Each article shows a published date and a last-reviewed date. We revisit guides when a cited source is revised, when software changes materially, or when readers point out something inaccurate or unclear. Updates that change the substance of an article move the review date forward.

Corrections

If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, contact us through the contact page with the page URL and the specific claim in question. Substantive corrections are made to the article itself rather than buried in a footnote.

Independence

Advertising and affiliate relationships never determine what we cover or what we conclude. Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial arrangements, and any page containing a compensated link is subject to the same sourcing standards as the rest of the site.
